Shiver of Light

Many years ago I stumbled across a book, whilst “Cover Shopping”, which intrigued me from the moment I laid eyes upon its cover. The author was Up-N-Coming, and didn't have many other books out there. Her name was Laurell K. Hamilton. I purchased the book and since then I have been on a journey filled with Vampires, Were-creatures, Zombies, Necromancers and more. In today’s world it isn't uncommon to find several bookstore shelves devoted to her many different works.
In a world created by Laurell, we meet Meredith Gentry a Faerie Princess, descendant of not one but several fertility goddesses, who has left the Fae world to live in secret as a Private Detective in the human world. She lives with her many men, and other fae that have been exiled from Faerie.
In the most recent story of Merry’s, we begin with her being pregnant however she doesn't stay that way for very long.
From here I am not really sure what to put. The entire rest of the story was one long OMG fest and it felt like a very long drawn out conversation repeating the same issue. I was thouroughly disappointed in this book. I am still a very big Laurell K. Hamilton fan however, I feel that with how long we waited for this chapter in Merry's story that it was like a last minute story put together, with mostly filler words in between the page or 2 of actual storyline.
I wish that I had more to say on this matter but I am afraid if I delve more into the subject I will only become harsh with my objections and criticisms. There is a reason I am not an official book critic- I think about people's feelings.
